These are meant to be framed and hung in a row, like in the picture below.
The guidelines I was given for this commission were 3 wreaths with red bows that will be framed and hung together. I used fusible web and raw-edge applique, then embellished with all sorts and styles of red buttons. I finished up with free-motion quilting.
I am a full time studio artist working in fiber and textiles. My passions are nature and "things" such as beads, buttons, baubles, and found objects. My artwork is informed by nature and turned up a notch by embellishment. Come along with me as I travel the fields and forests for inspiration, and peruse the antique stores, sidewalks and roadways for "stuff" to add to my work.
When not out walking and exploring you can find me hard at work in my downtown studio, "Studio 202", located in the famous Y-Bridge City of Zanesville, Ohio.
