"Four Word Self Help" by Patti Digh

I am very excited to share with you, my blogging friends, that, I have a piece of artwork in Patti Digh's latest book "Four Word Self Help", just released this month!!!  I have so admired Patti's writings and her wisdom, that this is extra special.  So, how do you know her, you ask?? Well, let me start at the beginning....

A couple of years ago I stumbled upon Patti's  book "Life is a Verb". It is another wonderful book based on the premise:  how would you live your life if you knew you only had 37 days left to live. It is full of great stories and thought provoking writing prompts, not to mention the beautiful and inspiring artwork. I immediately checked out her website http://www.pattidigh.com and discovered that she was speaking in Canton, Ohio, so I took a few friends and we drove up to see her speak. Long story short, I invited her to come back that spring and speak here in Zanesville to a local book group, and she accepted!! She was so happy with all the original artwork in "Life is a Verb", that she opened up the opportunity to anyone interested to leave an email address so that she/her publisher could contact us at a later date.

So now, I am so pleased to have a teeny-tiny part in her newest book. My artwork was to represent the 4 word phrase "show someone you care".

Another very exciting thing is that my daughter Abby (pictured above with Patti) also got a piece of artwork in this very same book!  I am so proud of her!! When I finally get a picture of her with her artwork, I will post here.
Okay, so enough with the shameless bragging. I would just encourage you to check out any of Patti's books as they are so meaningful and fulfilling. "Enough said!!
